During my several trips to Colorado I had the chance to admire the beauty of this wild state. I got to visit the capital, Denver and its amazing Museum of Nature and Science. Not far from Denver there is Boulder, a small and quite univeristy town that offers nice parks and reservoirs to explore. The town is the perfect base to reach beautiful national parks such as the Rocky Mountain where you can hike, relax, and appreciate the beauty of nature. East to Boulder there are the towns of Erie and Keenesburg home of the Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary and the Wild Animal Sanctuary, two non-profit centers dedicated to rescuing abused or neglected farmed animals and captive exotic and endangered animals. If you head south you can explore Garden of the Gods Park, a registered National Natural Landmark in Colorado Springs, and the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park in Cañon City. Close to Alamosa, not far from the border with New Mexico, there is the Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve, which hosts the tallest dunes in North America.
